Come to Me Softly

Thank you for books 1 & 2- this realistic love story of Aly & Jared. Book 1 that depicted Aly’s “romantic ignorance” & innocence. I appreciated how the story outlined the evolution of her maturity. The revelation of their love for each other, unraveling between Jared & Aly brought me back to my sophomore year in high school, when I discovered my first love. The hints of flashbacks to the past intertwining with each phase of her recognition & acceptance of the love she has in her being, but most especially, for Jared (a tortured soul). I, wanted so badly, for them to continue their journey when the book ended. I was hooked & couldn’t wait to continue on to book 2. Book 2 (this book) definitely detailed Jared’s struggle, so much so that my heart broke for him. I lost my mother to Leukemia when I was in my mid-twenties. Although the circumstances which left us both without our important person occurred differently, the end result & how it tortured us is the same. I identify with his guilt, anger & despair. Just as he did, I busy myself with work & lock those feelings away until I am numb to her absence. At times, his constant battle with himself became physically exhausting (emotions running so high & wild). However, I felt a sense of relief & hope knowing he had Aly -filled with so much love, like his mother- continued to be his rock & see him through his fear & pain. (Sigh) I’m pretty sure I’ll be reading Aly & Jared’s story multiple times. Just wanted to send a heartfelt ‘Thank you’. J. Beardin October 2018

This book absolutely touched my heart and has influenced me in so many ways. After reading the first book I immediately purchased this second book to read more about Aly and Jared. I love books that make me feel as if I were this character... and this book was just really moving. I cried a lot while reading the first book and the second book of the series. The characters Aly and Jared were so driving and genuinely wonderful! They will always remain in my heart and I will never forget their love story and their battles in life where they sticked together and trusted one another. I will definitely recommend this book to my friends to read as well! Thanks to my cousin Kiana, I'm thrilled to read more of A.L. Jackson's other books! Can't wait to read and feel more of the emotion Jackson puts into her books. ❤️❤️❤️

The continuation of Jared and Aly's story was exactly what I hoped for. Their reunion was beautiful and watching them learn to love and trust each other had my heart pitter pattering all over the place. While this didn't quite have the same angsty impact that book 1 did, I loved their story and it's one of my favorites.

Great ending to this love story!

Wow. This book was so touching and heart wrenching that it's hard to express how much it pulls you in. Every emotion felt so real and unhurried. The pace of the story was exactly right, allowing you to feel so much for these characters. Aly was so likable and strong. Her love, strength and support never wavered. Jared's story was so sad, and yet his feelings so easy to identify with. This experience could happen to anyone, and the story was told with so much depth and beauty. This is my first series by this author, but now I have to make sure to read all her other books.

Oh how I love Jared! He has quickly become one of my favorite book boyfriends. This is the second book in this series. We pick up where Come to Me Quietly left off. Jared is fighting through his past and his demons. Aly is being as supportive as she can. You know what happens when the past catches up with you? Drama. I love the way A.L. Jackson writes because its so raw and real. Jared is a broken man who is looking for a way to bridge the gap from letting go and being angry and full of regret to happy. He loves Aly so much and it shows in all of his actions. He is willing to do things for her even though it hurts him. Aly, oh that girl. I love when I read a story and the girl is a strong support system for the male. That is what she is, she is there and trys to help Jared in anyway she can. She also knows when to pull back and when enough is enough. I love that she stands up for herself, and doesn't let Jared walk all over her. I think it was the hardest thing she had to do but knew in her heart that if she did not Jared would eventually self destruct. These two go on a journey. It is not an easy or pleasant one by any means. There are many issues they have to work on and overcome. Jared needs to let go of his past so that his future will be bright. There was a point where I cried. Like legit balled because the emotions from these characters that were being emanated was so powerful, I felt in in my soul. Once again A.L. Jackson has written a novel that is all consuming. This book is about redemption, forgiveness, and closure. I could not have asked for a better ending to Jared and Aly's story. This is a book that will live in my heart forever.
