Description

Coen Steele has spent the last five years serving his country. Now that he's back, he's finally ready to leave behind the chaos of the battlefield and pursue his lifelong dream. What he wasn't expecting was the feisty sister of one of his battle buddies—who has made it obvious that she wants nothing to do with him—to intrigue him in a way no woman has before.

Reagan Hudson's life changed in the blink of an eye six years ago when she found out she was pregnant and on her own. Since then, Reagan has vowed never to let another man into her life so that no one can walk out on her, or her son, again. But the more she runs into her brother's hot and mysterious friend, the more he sparks something in her that she promised herself she wouldn't feel again.

Can two people with everything to lose allow themselves to finally capture the love they both deserve?

This was a beautifully written novella. I enjoyed the characters and story. I enjoyed reading this before Sharing You because it gave more insight into a main character from that book.

I am a huge fan of Molly McAdams' books. But with Capturing Peace, I was in awe. With this beautiful creation I felt the characters feelings/emotions and fell so hard for them. I laughed, I cried, I swooned and more. I was incredibly touched especially because I could relate to having a "new" parent. My biological Dad passed away when I was 4 or 5. I have so few memories of him. My Mom remarried a year later, and my "step-dad" IS MY DAD. He raised me as his own. And I love him so much. It takes a real special person to make that sacrifice and have that child as their own. This story is so beautiful. Thank you Molly for your genius creations. <3 :)

I'm actually disappointed I'm that reviewer! Did I read the same book as everyone else? I can't believe so many others enjoyed this, I loved this authors other books but this one was a flop. The woman in the story is completely against men, meets hot asian ( only description of coen I can even recall ) she tries to fight her attraction, they fight a little and then bam that's it they're together everything's perfect, it's completely unrealistic for a woman so against men to start a relationship yet act how openly she does with him. I don't even remember there being a description of Reagan...I wish Coen could have been more than just the hot asian. Sigh.

Molly McAdams has made me ugly cry again. This time it's because she hit being a young single mother on the head. Especially if the real father wants nothing to do with the baby. A single mom who hates asking for help and not needing a man in her life. Until a man like Coen Steel shows up and makes her see what she's been missing!!
  • Wow.

I really have no words for this book.. Molly McAdams you really have done it again. You made me fall in love with a book.. Not that it's hard with your writing. But this book is just simply amazing. Or maybe it's even more but that's the only words that I have for you. The way Coen is with Ray and Parker. I just love the three of them together. She's his peace he's her exception. Capturing Peace is my new favorite of yours. Thank you for all the writing you do.

After a devastating break up with her high school love, Reagan has spent the last six years raising her son, Parker, and not letting anyone get close to them for fear of being hurt. Coen has just gotten out of the military and is settling into civilian life and pursuing his dream of being a professional photographer, while dealing with the emotional demons that haunt him from his time while serving. Emotional. Exhilarating. Beautiful. Heartbreaking. Those are just a few words I would choose to describe Capturing Peace. I really don’t know how Molly does it (and if you’re reading this Molly, I freakin’ love you!). Every emotion that Coen, Reagan, Parker and the others felt just flew right off the pages– every laugh, every cry, every heartbreak. It was as if I were experiencing it right along with them. Coen - haunted, talented, fascinating. Reagan – fierce, loyal, determined to protect her son. I just can’t even tell you how much I loved their story. You will have to experience it for yourself, but I will tell you that you won’t be disappointed.
