The Power Law
Sebastian Mallaby · 2022
The first serious history of venture capital: from ARD and the Traitorous Eight through Sequoia, Kleiner, and SoftBank, and the decades in which the power law, a few bets returning everything, became the grammar of technology finance. Mallaby got the archives and the interviews; nobody else has both.
The case against
Access has a price: the great funds cooperated and read better for it, and the judgment arrives gently where the record is harsh.
